Seeding & Machinery Operators – Northern NSW (2 Positions)
Rowena / Walgett Region | March Start | 3–6 Month Seasonal Roles
Our client is a large-scale, family-run mixed farming enterprise operating across multiple properties in northern New South Wales, with a strong focus on broadacre cropping and earthworks.
They are seeking two experienced machinery operators (ideal for mates applying together) to join their seeding program from mid-March onwards, based near Rowena NSW, with work across the Walgett district.
Key Duties
- Air seeder operation during seeding programs
- Kelly chaining, chisel ploughing and deep ripping
- Ground preparation and land clearing
- Operating modern John Deere tractors and cropping machinery
- Operating plant machinery including bulldozers and excavators
- Self-propelled boom spraying (where experienced and accredited)
- General farm work including machinery servicing, earthworks, maintenance and repairs
- Proven experience in broadacre or row cropping, or a comparable machinery-intensive background
- Strong understanding of tractor and machinery operations using GPS / guidance systems
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a small team
- Commitment to OH&S policies and safe work practices
- Experience servicing and maintaining farm or plant machinery
- Chemical accreditation and spraying experience
- Previous experience with earthworks or property development
- 2 x seasonal positions
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Start: Mid-March (immediate availability preferred)
- Location: Rowena / Walgett NSW region
- Well-suited to two mates looking to work together for the season
